Sparky Anderson

Sparky Anderson. What can I say about my favorite manager of all time? Sparky was a champion and the manager of two great World Series clubs with the Cinncinati Reds and Detroit Tigers. When Sparky talked everyone listened. There were not too many people that I could just sit around and listen to stories, but he had a knack for great storytelling. I got to meet Sparky at a book signing a while back. He was funny, considerate, graceful, and full of life. Sadly, Sparky passed this past year and will be greatly missed.

Little Texas

One of my favorite bands of all time. Little Texas was formed back in 1988 and have a huge list of hits on Country radio such as God Bless Texas and What Might Have Been. I got a chance to meet the band back in 1997 when they came to Muskegon's Summer Celebration. They played a great show and remembering people saying in the crowd how great they were. They were a great bunch of guys with some good stories of their time in Muskegon. Sad to say not too long after the group broke up and went on to do other things. Tim Rushlow had a solo career, with a new band named Rushlow and also toured as a duo as Rushlow/Harris with his cousin Doni. I have met and talked with Tim a few times since then and have to say he is a really great guy with a great voice and I hope to hear from him again in the future. Little Texas has also been touring without some of the original members and I wish them well.

Billy Dee Williams

I met Billy Dee Williams who is most famous for portraying Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars movies and also as Harvey Dent in the Michael Keaton Batman movie in Detroit at a Sci Fi convention. He was very nice and actually talked to alot of people. I was able to get an autograph and a photo taken with him.

Richard "RIP" Hamilton

Met Rip a few years back after the Detroit Pistons won the NBA Basketball Championship. Rip has been consistently one of better shooters in the league for years. He was really nice and was having a good time greeting everyone. I got a 11 x 17 signed by him. The mall he was at was absolutely packed and it took about 2 1/2 hours before we got to meet him.

Alan Trammell

What can I say? This guy is my all time favorite professional sports athlete. He played shortstop for the Detroit Tigers and played the game the way it was supposed to be played. He led the 1984 team to a World Series title. I grew up playing shortstop and pitching on my ball teams and wanted to be just like him. I think he is a great speaker and knows the game of baseball well. I can also say, I don't think there was anyone I was more excited to meet in my life than him.

Marty Roe

Marty Roe is the lead singer from the award winning country band Diamond Rio. I have met Marty many times in the past and is probably one of the nicest and most down to earth guys you would ever meet. Diamond Rio has been around since 1984 and got their big break in 1991 with the hit Meet in the Middle. They have had 5 number 1 hits and a total of 33 chart topping hits. This picture is backstage at a concert in my hometown. I want to thank the guys from Diamond Rio for always treating myself and my wife like old friends. They are one of my favorite groups of all time.

Lou Ferrigno

I met Lou a few years back at a Detroit Convention. He was a very personable guy and was more than happy to sign an autograph and pose for a picture. Lou has always been one of my favorite's since his days as starring as the Incredible Hulk back in the 70's. He also had a recurring role in the King of Queen's starring as himself. Lou has done the voice for both of the Incredible Hulk movies and has also done voice for other antimated productions.
